What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is an injectable biostimulator made from poly‑L‑lactic acid (PLLA). Rather than simply filling, it gradually stimulates the body’s collagen production to restore volume and improve skin quality.
How does it work?
Once injected, the PLLA microparticles trigger fibroblasts to produce new collagen over time. This results in subtle, natural volume and skin firming that develops gradually over several months.
What areas can be treated?
Typically used on areas of volume loss or skin laxity, such as the cheeks, temples, and nasolabial folds.
Treatment Plan & Results:
- Sessions: Usually 2–3 (or up to 4) sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
- When you see results: Initial improvements can show in 4–6 weeks; full effects build over 3–6 months as collagen forms.
- Longevity: Results can last up to 2 years, sometimes longer (studies report up to 24–36 months of improvement).
Comfort & Safety:
- Side effects: swelling, redness, bruising, or tenderness at injection sites.
- Important aftercare: massage the treated areas 5 × per day for 5 minutes for 5 days after each session to ensure even distribution.
- Sculptra should only be used by experienced injectors.
Why choose Sculptra?
It’s ideal for gradual, long-lasting enhancement. Rather than just filling, Sculptra rebuilds your own collagen, giving a softer, natural look that evolves over time.
